Levelling floors using sand and cement. The most important aspect is moisture content. The floor needs to be prepared with a slurry of pure cement and water. It also needs to be wet when the sand and cement is spread over the top. The sand and cement bed needs to be fairly dry to allow for easy spreading and finishing.
